Since everyone doing a blog, I want to do one also. They say media is the key to success, and that many Business organizations fail not because of a poor business plan, but the lack of marketing ones product effectively. I agree. However, I notice throughout my teenage years, Marketing/Media can make or break you. They can portray you as the best thing to hit mainstream, and while your enjoying your new found success, they can take it away from you. I'm not trying to get into the whole Chris Brown and Rihanna situation, but thats a perfect example. Can You trust the Media?

Who's the victim? Everyone is responsible for their own actions, famous or not. You must face the music for what you done.

Yes the lawyers and judges will keep them out of jail, but they would lose endorsements, and major deals, do to the negative publicity

ooooooo I cant even argue with that. I agree. The media is a business, whose purpose is to make a profit just like everyone else. But, its how they make their money, that bothers me. Manipulating, bribing, and ridiculing people to make a buck, is not how you do good business. Ask Bernie Madoff!

But think about it, what if T.I, Vick, etc... were sentence to jail for long time, who would young people look up to. You cant keep celebs lock up for long because they are kids role models, and you can't deny the fact that celebs are rich (one of many reasons they receive publicity) so they can afford great lawyers, and if push comes to shove, pay off judges!

Media is just one of many buisnesses, therefore they will have to pick the best stories/incidents that will draw the most viewers including publicizing celebrities. So maybe they do pick their next targets but its the people (celebrities) that make themselves targets.

They try and make examples out of these Celebrities, which is wrong. Yes they are Celebrities, but they are also human beings, who have talents, that cant go unannounced. Should they not do what they love to do, if being in the public eye, would mean, negative publicity as well as positive publicity. At the end of the day, everyone makes mistakes. For example T.I, T.I is still considered a role model, and a respectful man, with all those guns he tried to get, shouldnt he get longer than a year and a day? why not make an example out of him? The media pick and chooses their next target.

The thing with celebrities, no privacy comes with being a celebrity. That's the price of fame, always in the public eye. Okay, you do something wrong and everyone see it and know about it, the judge let you go. This will send the wrong message to people, and people will think it is okay. If the judge be harsh, it will send a strong message. The message will have people think twice before they commit.

Define messing up? they are doing what average American citizens do, if not daily; weekly. The fact that they are celebrities, they recieve harsher punishments. The media promotes so much negative publicity, for a crime not so deserving of it. We are face with much bigger problems today, why the petty stuff?

You definitely can not trust the media, you are right they can make you and break you. But you should take responsibility for your own actions. No one ask to be in the public eye but even the money and fame, it comes a price. Michael Vick was on top, then he messed up, Chris Brown same thing, they messed up. The media have a job and they, for the most part are just doing their job.
