LG.  Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? (Age, location, how did you get started)

CARMEL.  24 I’m based in the UK- but make regular trips to the U.S. I started about 1 year ago- then it just went from there. At the moment I’m trying to find an agent.  So I can get seen in all the right places!

LG.  Five years from now, where do you see yourself?

CARMEL.  I see myself being on US TV program acting. Maybe something like 'The Game'. That would be a big ambition for me! But in the mean time I would like to get in some magazines like Black Men, Show, Black lingerie etc.

LG.  What Type of Model would you be considered?

CARMEL.  I consider myself as an Urban model/Video Vixen. I am happy that my body appeals to that market- because in the U.K my statistics are not seen as commercial.

LG.  What is a big pet peeve of yours from the industry?

CARMEL.  People that are unprofessional and make sexual advances at you- you should not mix business and pleasure. Also people that want money off you. People take advantage of the fact that girls are ambitious, and will do what it takes to make it- and people want to cash in on that- and see you as vulnerable.

LG.  What’s the secret of you looking always glamorous?

CARMEL.  Just look your best at all times, as you never know who you are going to bump into. As long as you feel good on the inside- it will radiate on the outside.

LG.  Can you tell us and some of the challenges that you have come across?

CARMEL.  People posing as agents-and I have been part of scams where they try and rip you off, and take all your money. It’s challenging to get your confidence back after that- but once you have, you see it as a hurdle and learn from your mistakes!

LG.  What are some of your greatest achievements thus far?

CARMEL.  Graduating with a degree in Media and performance, and setting up my own business in the UK.

LG.  What is your ultimate goal for your career?

CARMEL.  I wish to be recognized for my talent, not just my looks! and to make a living out of what I enjoy the most- which is performing on a regular basis.

LG.  What was the craziest experience that you’ve had in the industry?

CARMEL.  At the moment I have not had any crazy experiences but I hope that I will...........

LG.  Question, all the guys want to know… Are you single?

CARMEL.  Yes I am single. After coming out of a long-term relationship that didn't end well, I am looking for a VERY VERY special man! I will not settle for anything less!!

LG.  Where can our audience see more of you?

CARMEL.  I run my own website called http://www.iluvcarmelcandy.com and they can keep up to date with me on there! and add me on all the social networking sites!

LG.  What advice do you have for young women, trying to get in the industry?

CARMEL.  Just be very careful who you go to meet. Always research the people, and if you cannot find any information about them on the web, or they don't have a website- they are probably not professional and you should not both. Don't hand over any money to sign up to an agency- as if they like you enough they will invest money into you.
