The trust is there, I guess we are going to see what the relationship is made of. My son is another problem, I would hate it, if he acts like he does not know me, or does not listen to me. That will Hurt.

Listen Merge, did you listen to your last statement. Our future will be brighter, financially. That's it....that's it. All the other things you've mentioned before those statement are valid concerns.

What extra money are you talking about? Have you thought about the trips back and fort, the long distance calls, even if your family helps out...you will still have to contribute to some part of her living expense. Did you think about the fact that the cost of living is much higher in NY than in FL.

Then there's the cost to your family. I'm not concerned about the trust...things can happen regardless of where you live.

I hope that I've given you something to think about. For expample, when I was in NY I made pretty good money at my job. Then I had to move with my husband to another state. When I left my job and moved, the money he was making provided for both of us and our children. Believe it or not we are doing better. Our family and kids are better off now. You need to think of ways to cut your current budget and work from there.

A little more detail,

Wife graduated with her Bachelors degree in March. It's nearly September, Someone made her an offer in New York, The money will be significantly more. She will gain much needed experience.

The plan is to work over there to gain experience and pay off some debts. While she is over there, she will be applying for positions back in Florida. The hope is, it won't take longer than a year.

I feel if we take a step back, we can take 10 steps forward.

Merge, I think your mind is half way made up. Pray on it and discuss each other's expectation before she leaves. Also, you want to ensure that both of you are on the same page before the plans gets started.

It can be done. Everything or decision made has consequences....good or bad. All you can do is evaluate and make your decision and stick to it.

On the bright side, just pretend that you are a military family. I do it all the time.

Our minds are made up, She is going to move, temporarily with the baby. I don't think she should pass up this opportunity that many don't get.

I'm going to have many lonely nights. What really worries me, is my son forgetting me. He just turned 1. I don't think the web cam will work.
